NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday was conferred with the ‘Global Energy and Environment Leadership Award‘ by the Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA).
The PM dedicated the award to the people of our great motherland India. I dedicate this award to the glorious tradition of our land that has shown the way when it comes to caring for the environment, said the PM accepting the award.
Delivering the keynote address at the CERAWeek 2021 via video conferencing, the PM said that while climate change and calamities are major challenges today, fighting them with behavioural change is important.
“Climate change and calamities are major challenges today. There are two ways to fight them. One is via policies, laws, rules and orders. These have their own importance. But there is something more than these words. The most powerful way to fight climate change is behavioural change,” said the PM.
