Dr. Arvind Kumar, President, India Water Foundation, had a meeting with Shri Chaudhary Birender Singh Hon’ble Minister of Rural Development,Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water & Sanitation, today (05/01/2016) and discussed about the upgrading of skills and knowledge, making all stakeholders aware of the latest technology with emphasis on the need for sharing knowledge between Central and State Governments, and with various other agencies in order to bring all stakeholders on a common knowledge platform and forward linkage with SDG-6, which envisages achieving universal and equitable access to safe and affordable drinking water and to achieve access to adequate and equitable sanitation and hygiene for all and to end open defecation, paying special attention to the needs of women and girls and those in vulnerable situations by 2030. He also congratulated him on the success of the Swachh Bharat Mission.
